The theory would be that there are impermissible benefits (of which I have not doubt) the NCAA and Ole Miss are both aware of.

I think there is a reason he hasn't so much as taken a snap. Was there no garbage time in the Wofford game? If this is a sell, then I would think it would ONLY be because he is going to be redshirted and he and his parents are okay with that (which I don't believe the latter).
Neither Patterson nor Freeze will spend a single day of the 2017-18 academic year in Oxford, MS.
