Around lunch I grabbed a pole, a beer, a chair, and went to a local pier. Found it empty and setup up at the end for freshwater catfish on the bottom with powerbait. My earliest fishing memories were sitting on the bank of the TN River with zebco 808s and chicken liver on the bottom. I started getting bites immediately & quickly realized I had the wrong stuff. Needed small treble hooks instead of a 4/0 straight hook. Managed one making it all the way to the dock. I'll be back. Fun easy fishing.
