This is the first non-maroon helmet I've seen from Adidas that I like. Don't see anything about it that's bad, which is also a step up from many of the Adidas looks; however, I'll reserve judgment until I see them on the field. Those LSU alternate jerseys Saturday didn't look nearly as bad in photos as they did on the field.

I really like our current regular uniforms, but would have preferred the maroon or gray pants rather than the white over white we wore last week.

You also have to remember that Adidas actually did the uniform redesign for the Patriots. So it makes sense for them to do it since we are going to Gillette Stadium.

Because we do cheezy things like that sometime and then go overboard with it. Its not as bad as the Snow Bowl tribute. Celebrating an Independence Bowl win when we were playing a tradition laden program like Texas A&M was a low point for us.

Of course I do not know details of said contract, but joking aside, if recent history means anything I hate playing series where we go on the road first.

I don't like the gimmicky look either, but at least this "alternate" seems to be the best of the alternate bunch because it doesn't just hit you in the face. To the untrained observer, it pretty much looks like any other MSU visiting uniform. And that's a good thing.

Nothing wrong with paying a subtle tribute to the Patriots, if we have to go alternate. We're borrowing their stadium. It might look funny about 1/4 full though.
