If you want to infuriate yourself, go watch the clip and pause it right as Scott gets to the edge. There is no way he should have broken that for more than 5 or so yards. Just a terrible job by the secondary and then the end/lb's pulled up. Of course there's no way you should give up a 75 yard run with in that defense with a minute left either.

Lot of Vandy guys are going to get their butts chewed in film today. Can't post a screenshot from my computer.

It al,ost looked like they all kinda quit thinking that somebody else was going to make the play or that he was going out of bounds.

Sure looked like their defense quit because they thought he had stepped out. Go to the whistle, jackasses.

Looked like Moncrief had a non-called block in the back

The biggest thing on that play (mid line read) was the MLB didn't flow (good thing for the defense or what he's supposed to do). UM runs it often and had success Vs LSU with it. UF the MLB does flow Wallace keeps and takes it through the A or B gap (whichever is open and 1 will be). So you can tell they scouted that part out right (Wallace caught em earlier inthe 4th on that very play). But the OLB didn't squeeze and I guess he THOUGHT #3 would run outtake bounds.....but uhhh that didn't happen.

^this. DB was breaking down in position to make the tackle when Moncrief pushed him backward just enough to allow Scott to scoot by. Whatever else Vandy did wrong, there is no way Scott breaks free if not for Moncrief's block.

I also thought when the play was happening live that he stepped out of bounds. The replay was inconclusive, but it was very close.
