Try uploading your image to http://imgur.com/ and using the link it gives you. I don't think you can simply upload an image from your computer.

Thanks, but isn't photobucket the same thing?

I recommend imgur as well. imgur is a lot smaller and more straightforward, and you don't need an account. photobucket also has anti-direct-linking mechanisms in some situations, but I don't know what the rules are.

What I would say is upload it to whatever site you want it to be on, then once it is uploaded, right click (or double-click if you're on a Mac) and select "copy image URL". Then once you are on here, use the url template to post it on here. That should work.

Have tried that. Following every rule in the instructions, but it keeps telling me it's an invalid file. Here's the image URL:
http://i952.photobucket.com/albums/ae9/kellybully/Bulldog2_zpsa9084adb.jpg?t=1377841743

1) is this the correct one to click? Choices are:
http://i952.photobucket.com/albums/ae9/kellybully/Bulldog2_zpsa9084adb.jpg

<a href="http://s952.photobucket.com/user/kellybully/media/Bulldog2_zpsa9084adb.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i952.photobucket.com/albums/ae9/kellybully/Bulldog2_zpsa9084adb.jpg" border="0" alt="Bulldog helmet 1 photo Bulldog2_zpsa9084adb.jpg"/></a>

http://i952.photobucket.com/albums/ae9/kellybully/Bulldog2_zpsa9084adb.jpg (http://s952.photobucket.com/user/kellybully/media/Bulldog2_zpsa9084adb.jpg.html)

I have tried uploading all of these as is, also with the [url] added to the front and [/yrl] added to the end. Nothing works. I've also followed the directions for uploading from my computer, mindful of file size restrictions, but I still just keep getting "invalid file" for this jpg.

^ OK, that's funny. What seems to have worked, quite by accident, is pasting one of the links directly into the body of my post.
