Didn't wanna risk a fumble I think. At least he got him on the edge.

Yep, on that play call I knew we wouldn't do crap with this opportunity. Mullen really fooled them.

WHY run Holloway on that play with 2:00 to go at our own 20??? Why? You have to throw it every down. Stupid ass MF!

He should be fired for that play call alone. If that doesn't prove his incompetence I don't know what does

Holloway doesnt play the entire 3rd quarter...Shump plays his ass off and he puts Holloway in to run the ball with 2 minutes left down by 3. Are you kidding me??? That was not on the players that was not on Holloway, Shump, D Will or anyone else. That was squarely on Dan Mullen. Then he puts Shump in to pass block on 4th down for D Will after he pulls Fitz all of a sudden for no reason. If I was any one of them I'd be furious

Not only can Holloway not get past the LOS but he can't block either. What gives.

If Holloway had any balls, he would go to Mullen himself & tell him he's hurting the team. Can he not see it himself. WTF do they do when they watch film?

Yeah, put Holloway back in at crunch time when we had a "Chance" (as they said in Dumb & Dumber). He showed us and the LSU D.

I found that play call very "curious"... I was thinking "chunk it for 1st downs/sidelines" til ya run outta turf, downs, or time....

I've seen many a team spring a long run in a situation like that. I don't have as much a problem with the call as I do with who ran it. I think a screen pass to shump could've been a very nice call on 1st down

It's a "hero/goat" type call...

This isn't in Dan's 2 minute playbook.

My biggest fear is that we finally rid ourselves of Mullen and hire kiffen. That is a 50/50 nightmare scenario.

I wouldn't worry about that. I would be SHOCKED if we hired Kiffen on both ends because I can't see him being someone Scott would want to hire and I can't see Kiffen coming to Starkville.

When the time comes I'm expecting someone more like a Jeff Brohm/Mike Norvell type of hire. If we hire an Alabama assistant, it would be much more likely to be Pruitt than Kiffen.
