Was shocked to hear West Monroe band play a stirring rendition of "Dixie"! I thought that song was dead and completely non-PC? They are the "Rebels", btw.

That may be the first tie in Madison Central history. We're pretty close to being undefeated. If we don't turn the ball over against Brandon and then Oxford could have gone either way. Of course elite teams don't make those mistakes but I am encouraged by how close we are. Clinton, Starkville, and Northwest Rankin are going to be tough going forward among others.

And, we ring cowbells too!! My wife stands and claps when they play Dixie, I don't. Just can't, to maroon to do that. But I ring the Hail out of my cowbell. Everyone around me knows where I got my degree! I love pissing off a lot of LSU side walk fans.

I'll bet most MSU fans' objections to Dixie is because of its connection to Ole Miss, not because of the song. Personally, I like the song and see nothing wrong with it. And it apparently was one of Elvis's favorites too, and everybody seems to like his American Trilogy.

I lived in W. Monroe for almost 2 years now, I knew they were the rebels, but I did not know they rang cowbell, cool.
