View Full Version : Is Holloway the Lightest Starting SEC RB In Modern History?

Sorry for whacking a dead horse, but while contemplating the historical perspective of this atrocity today, it dawned on me that we may be swimming in uncharted waters here.

Holloway is listed as being 165 lbs.

Trindon Holliday was also listed at 165, but I'm not completely sure he was ever actually LSU's starting tailback.

Only talking about starters here in modern history. Say 1970 or so.

Can anyone think of a lighter starting RB?

Onterio McCaleb from Auburn was really light too

He will be heavier tomorrow night. Supposed to be a lot of rain and muddy field, power game here we come!

Not SEC but Oregon has had some tiny RBs. Much more effective too but that's beside the point.

I did say slightly bigger. 5 pounds. I win. That'll cost you 500 cash or steal some of Cadavers. Thanks

Short memory... jaylen Walton. I know he's listed at 7 lbs heavier than Holloway, but they're both tiny

172

So, Walton is 1" taller and 7 lbs heavier... that's pretty much the same imo

De'Anthony Thomas - 176

Kenyon Barner - 190

The question was "is he lightest?"

Well if om and us fudged their weights the same, then probably so. Do we fudge weights more or less than om?

Holloway may be the lightest, but McCaleb only weighed 168 lbs at the combine. I guarantee you that he was trying to gain weight for the combine

That's why its hilarious that Holloway is listed at 165. In reality he is probably closer to 150.

Robert Issac was small.

I think Anthony Dixon was the lightest, just under 160.***

Dunno. i was gonna ask that. Kenny Ray was a track guy that played football.

Here he looks bigger than I remember him being. Hard to tell.

This^^^

I bet cha Holloway will actually measure.....around 5'7" 140-150 at the combine.

Robert Issac and Roberts were short for SEC football players but they looked "thicker". But Holloway is faster than both.

I don't expect Holloway to be invited to the combine, but your point remains.

The difference between Holloway and a lot of these guys who are close being mentioned is that the others actually have elite speed. Makes sense to play a little guy if he runs a 4.3. 4.5 (which I suspect is about what Holloway runs), not so much.

He might as a kick returner. Not saying he will make it in the NFL. Maybe CFL though.
