I thought all our football games would be available on a "channel" somewhere and wouldn't need to be streamed.

I thought same thing, DIM. It's gotta be on TV somewhere, maybe just not been set yet?

Per M&W Nation (http://maroonandwhitenation.com/2016/09/12/mississippi-state-vs-umass-tv-channel-announced/), it's on some channel called the American Sports Network. Here is a link to their list of affiliates. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Sports_Network#List_of_affiliates) Per the M&W post, WCBI in Columbus will have it.

Looks like it's ESPN3 for me, though.

I have Dish, but that channel doesn't show up in my user's guide. It jumps from 412-10 to 412-27. Maybe it'll show up by game time, but Im not holding my breath.

Do you have the sports package?

Do you have the sports package?

Yes, supposedly. I have NFL RedZone, Big 10, Longhorn and a few others that I think are only included in the Sports Package. But I really need to check my account to be sure.

If you have the multi sports pack you should have it.

On Directv, NESN is 628 and 628.1. Unless there is some type of blackout in MS, it should be available on Directv. You may have to have the Diectv Sport Package? I'm not sure on that.

Just looked at my account and I don't think I have it, although I have several channels that appear to only be included in the sports pack. I'm not being charged the $13/mo they say it is. Don't think I want it either ... most of the things on there I have no interest in, and I can watch our UMass game on ESPN3 using Roku.

That's cool. I get the multi sports pack for 6.50 a month . I register for the introductory off at 6.50 for 6 months and then when it's up I just login to cancel it and they offer it to me at 6.50 again to keep it.

Good method. :) I didn't see the $6.50 introductory price on their website. Do you have to talk to them to get it?

I think it's kind of funny how Dish advertises that they're so much lower in price than Direct. They only mention a base price ... but you have to add to that a receiver, DVR fee, etc., etc. They're about the same. I still like them a lot better than cable.

True I've had both and they're within a few dollars. I hate cable especially Comcast. They're horrible. Yeah you have to talk them to get it to start with but after that you can do it from your box.

seems like I heard them talking about it on H2H awhile back ... couldn't swear to it but I thought I heard someone say it would be broadcast on a few local stations around the state ... seems like I remember hearing Hattiesburg / Laurel and one of the local stations here on the coast ..... but don't quote me

One rep point for the first cat who can tell me who said this:

"Man, we went 9-2. Georgia went 7-4. They might as well have put us playing on BET on Christmas Eve in the We Got Screwed Bowl." (On getting snubbed by the Outback Bowl)
