I saw a stat that we have won 5 in a row vs. the SECE and have outscored then 196-74 with all 5 wins being by double digit margins. Great.

But I wanted to dig a little deeper and see how we have done historically against the SECE now that we are 25 years in to the Division Era.
If my tally is correct, we are now 38-35 versus the East over the past 25 years.

Jackie did what Jackie did - going 20-20 over his run. USC and KY were our permanents for most of his run. KY (8-5) USC (6-5),Vandy (3-0), UF (2-3), TN (1-5), UGA (0-2).

Croom was definitely Croom going 4-11. KY (2-3), Vandy (1-1), UF (1-1), UGa (0-2), USC (0-2), TN (0-2)

Mullen has definitely taken advantage of the East going 14-4. KY (7-0), Vandy (2-0), TN (1-0), MO (1-0), UF (1-1), UGA (1-1), USC (1-2).

I just thought the stats were interesting. It makes me wish we still played 3 SECE teams like we did during the Jackie era. Could actually benefit us with the way they have been down.

If we were in the east, we probably would've been to Atalnta a couple of times the last 7 years.

We play in the toughest division in the history of college football. It's weaker this year, but the least 5-6 years it's been unmatched (currently and historically).

Very true. Put us in the East in 2010 (beat UF, UGA and KY), 2014, and 2015 and think we are in ATL and maybe have fresher legs due to not playing the gauntlet of the West. We might have been able to beat AU in that 2010 game - based on what we did early. Maybe not with the way they were rolling by then. Could you imagine the hype for that because of Camgate?
