15 years since 9/11

I'll never forget being on the MSU campus, getting ready for class, and walked in to the den to see the second tower get hit on live TV. It was the most surreal scene. Some of the most hurrying scenes were the jumpers. At first everyone thought it was furniture, but soon realized we were wrong. It's somewhat frustrating to look back at the aftermath and see the unity that was shown then as compared to the divisions that exist today. Maybe today we can put all that aside and celebrate the good things we share together.

Not to turn this political, but people are somewhat numb to the threat of the next major act of terrorism on US soil. It's coming, and the perpetrators are most likely already residing in this country planning and strategizing.
