Why can't we hire a legit dc

I loved the rush defense till the 3rd quarter. He had us in position to get to safety, but Jung missed the tackle. I'm not happy with Sirmon after 1 game, but it is a new system so I'll try and hold judgement

Might be because Mullen tells them the defense he wants them to run. Most good coordinators aren't going somewhere they have to run someone else's defense. Not a surprise that every defense under Mullen is bend don't break.

Mullen needs to remove himself from every little detail of the defense. Hire a coordinator that runs the type of D you want and let him get after it.

The defensive coordinator, Sirmon in this case, needs to tell Mullen to let him do his job. If Mullen won't, he needs to go to Stricklin and offer to resign. Stricklin has let Mullen have too much leeway with assistants and needs to assert himself. That may be the only way we can keep anyone decent under Mullen.

Hammer meet nail. If Dan would let our DC come in and mold the D around what we are best suited for, instead of trying to make it do what he wants it too, we would be a lot better.

This was Sirmon's first time to run / call a defense. And the defense did a fine job..... besides a few simple mistakes. The offense was an abomination. If Williams at QB and Holloway at RB are our best option, then we won't win a game this season. Holloway is great at what he does..... but we need someone that can run the ball 20 times a game. We also need a QB that can throw the ball over 10 yards. Ross and Thomas were doing jumping jacks they were so open on some plays, but Williams simply can't throw the ball. And Fitz needs to get the nerves shit out of his system. He's an SEC QB..... act like one. We just lost to a Sun Belt team that went 5-7 last year. Yesterday's game reminded me of a Croom team. We had absolutely no offense. At least Croom had db's that could cover.

I felt bad for AJ Jefferson reading his quotes taking responsibility for not doing enough himself, and for the defense giving up those second half points. Our offense should be able to name the amount of points they score against South, especially in the second half. And they laid a stinking pile of dog shit. AJ played his ass off, but he's a man and tried to take some heat off Graves in that 247 article. What a freaking plan. We gonna throw sideline to sideline, wear them down and let Holloway bust their ass up the middle. When South figured out dam.williams could only throw sideline to sideline only back to the LOS the game was over!!

South Alabama put 8 in the box against us, and we couldn't do shit about it. That is the most pathetic shit of an offense since Croom.
