I wonder how much he lost in speed from the ankle injury?

He earned his money (literally, not figuratively) at Ole Miss and my guess is he will eventually do well in the pros.

went in a 5* came out a 4 (sounds like that may be pushing it) Not developing guys is one thing, but them regressing? Wasn't there something that came out about tonsil having issues ON the field too? That's something recruits should watch. They may give you some cash but you have the potential to make much much more don't waste it in a cesspool of greed and artificial love...even if the campus is loosely defined as beautiful.

I remember around the 2016 combine Treadwell being quoted as saying it was cool to learn how to run routes bc he didnt learn that type stuff at OM. That's not verbatim but the general idea.

Well he was the one who said he didn't learn anything at OM

"If all Laquon Treadwell ever becomes is a decent underneath receiver who can out-physical the opponent, he will be a bust."

Yikes....

He was never a burner and no shake either. That doesn't translate well for a #1 wr in the NFL. He's a big guy and has possession receiver written all over him. He caught jump balls and bubble screens at unm. Taveze pretty much shut him down in the egg bowl last year.

He ran a 4.7 at the combine. That's not that great for a NFL WR.

Exactly. For a outside guy who you want big plays out of that's just not NFL speed. I Think he could probably do pretty good as a possession receiver with his size but most possession guys generally don't drop the ball as often as he does. Also it sucks to waste a first round pick on a possession receiver.

Not that it matters but he didn't run at the combine only at their pro day.

I'm not sure why anyone is surprised by his play so far.

OT: How's Nkimdiche and Tunsil doing?

Seems to be a recurring theme of these 5* guys that sign with Om, well at least the ones who actually stay on the roster. Haven't heard of any of them being prepared for the pro game. Just further evidence that without the network, Bucky is still a JR high girls basketball coach. Nothing more, nothing less.
