Why is there an Ole Miss Hoops ad on here? Did I miss something?

Is that for all of the lurkers? Or just for the $?

This isn't the answer that anyone wants to hear, but it's most likely because there is too much reference to Ole Miss on the site. It's called contextual targeting, meaning that the ad server uses the context of what's written on the site to decide if it's a good place to serve a display ad. And because there's been an inordinate amount of commentary about TSUN lately - with specific references to Ole Miss, Oxford, Hugh Freeze, among others - it uses those keywords as an indicator that there are lots of Ole Miss fans on the site.

Also, if you search for something, you'll get ads for that thing popping up everywhere you go. Knew I shouldn't be searching Leather Nuns. But then I hit enter . . .

Clearly not this add. Several of us have seen it and I guarantee you we haven't been googling ole miss basketball. I haven't googled ole miss anything. The other poster is correct - it's about the content of this site.

But I don't think you have to actually do a google search for "ole miss basketball". It could just be similar searches like anything tied to the SEC and sports. The om basketball ad is just what is up in the cue for those search criteria.
