Mullen also said we would play 4-5 corners this weekend, maybe more, they will all get a lot of reps.


Says De'Runnya Wilson really made some spectacular catches in camp, spoke highly of him.

Lets not count him out just yet. Mullen only said questionable. Plus, Paul tweeted that Bohanna said he would do everything in his power to play.

Les Koenning - very excited about De'Runnya. He gets open and he catches the ball, we throw him the ball and he makes plays, if the ball is in his vicinity, he's going to catch it. That's a good quality for a receiver to have.

Jay Hughes is very high on Taveze Calhoun and Jamerson Love, says they communicate very well with each other, it shows up on film. In his opinion, they are as good as Banks and Slay.

Jay also talked about the speed of the corners, they are "fast", it's hard for a WR to run away from them.

Yes we will. I hate to be a pessimist, but................. No need to say it, I know of many feeling the same way about this game. Hopefully we will be wrong and it will be a great start to the season. :)

Mentioned this in another thread but I saw an interview from a couple of weeks ago where Collins claimed Love ran sub 4.3 clocked by hand. By my standards of guestimation I would say that is closer to a true 4.4 or lower which is something that we haven't had a lot of in the defensive backfield.

Alabama player of the year in basketball if I'm not mistaken. This guy is 6'6" and massive. How many teams have a corner that will be able to match his size and jumping ability? My guess is not many at all...
