Does anyone know the status of Mario Kegler and Abdul Ado?
I saw where Kegler didn't make the trip

Kegler has been practicing, so that means he's been cleared by MSU but is still waiting on the NCAA clearinghouse. He most likely makes it.

Ado, being an international, has many more NCAA hoops to jump through. Iffy at best that he makes it.

IYOK has been cautiously optimistic on Ado...do you know something he doesn't or just being pessimistic?

Pessimistic based on the NCAAs track record with international players

Hopefully Howland's experience and/or credibility will get it done...

The last update from Paul regarding Ado was positive so I'd put it at 80% chance that Ado gets in and 99.9% chance Kegler gets in.

I expect Kegler to be eligible but I believe Ado will have to redshirt this year or won't be ready till SEC play.

If Ado doesn't make it, can he go the prep school route as opposed to JUCO so we could get him in 2017-2018?

I expected that anyways. Ado is still pretty raw, a redshirt year will probably do him some good. The big thing is just getting him in school.

Joe Strugg just became an important piece to this team.

Joe didn't look bad yesterday. Was on the floor during crunch time in OT & did some good things.

Yea he drained a couple of clutch free throws down the stretch. That's one thing I was really impressed with last year was our improved FT%. I think we were in the top 3 in the conference for most of the year.

Please just be quiet on this. You double and triple down on bad news and were right on one thing I have seen (Malik situation). I'm going with John Hevesy Made news on this.

I'd think he would enroll and just wait it out on eligibility. Academically he is fine for MSU. It's the stupid clearinghouse that is the issue.

To me on international players as long as you didn't play professionally abroad and are academically eligible for school, I don't know what the problem would be.
