Why hasn't Adam played in the last 4 to 5 games? Figured he had to be banged up or something.

Don't know. Last game he played he went 2-4. They have played 3 games since without him getting in the lineup.

Not to be an ass, but Adam isn't a starter and unless a Lefty PH is needed, Adam will be riding the pine. He has done great though, in his limited opportunities.

Right, it has been just 3 games. Guess I was use to him at least getting a PH ab since he's been called up. He's been great since the call up, that's why I asked if anyone knew something different. I'd love to see him being an every day guy but that doesn't look like it's happening with the Pirates anytime soon.

He'll probably start today.

He is hitting above 300 since getting called up. He is doing what he needs to do to stay up.

No one said he wasn't. That's what is mind boggling to me. He's hit so well and played good D that I can't believe he hasn't had any ab's, this would be the 4th straight game.

He is in now due to an injury to starter

I was wondering the same thing.... doesn't make sense... But, he got in today. Wasn't a good day for him - he went 0 for 2 with 2 strikeouts (on a total of 7 pitches). But he is still batting 0.356 (16 hits in 45 at bats).

Yeah the 2nd K he got rung up to the end the game on a check swing, which he argued with the ump as did the Pirates coach and a couple other players. I think they assumed the home plate ump should have warranted a check from the 3rd base ump.
