Folks close to the summer workouts are saying that there are some guys on Defense looking great and working their tails off. Singled out Gerri Green, Jamal Peters, Brandon Bryant, Cory Thomas, and Leo Lewis.

I hope they're right about Cory Thomas. We need him to step up and play a big role.

No one cares about defense. We expect the defense to look good. Any word on the offense and in particular QBs?

I care very much. Nothing helps break in a new qb like a good defense

Ding ding ding. Nothing puts more pressure on a new QB than a porous defense and they feel they need to score on every possession

Are we looking faster and more athletic than last year on defense?

The defense is gonna have to score a lot of points if Damian Williams ends up being the guy.

The same Damian Williams that led us to 24 points @ Arkansas as a true freshman?

Didn't really go into specifics just said Gerri Green and Leo Lewis were freakishly good and that Big Cory seemed like he was a man on a mission. he said peters is always one of the first to defensive guys to arrive and last to leave at just about every workout. We didn't really talk about offense he just said that Fitz is the guy everyone seems to be drawn to and seems to be one of the ones headed up a lot of things as far as voluntary stuff

I thought he only led us to one score after coming in late, no? And he looked bad in 2014. Here is to hoping he has progressed.

Or the one that was so ineffective in the egg bowl that Dak had to come in with one arm and pick up the pieces?

Fitz is going to be The Guy.
Y'all chill out. Remember last summer our rival didn't know who they're QB would be.
Nick Fitzgerald is our Chad Kelly
Chill

Yeah, the one that threw 4 passes in that game where Tyler Russell threw for 2 of the 3 touchdowns scored. He did run for one late, though.

Someone should notify the coaching staff of this.

They are just making it a competition. Rotation may go on for a game or two but Nick Fitz will be starting by game 3.
