I'd give the edge to the SEC over the SWAC because you'd be giving Saban Reggie White and Derrick Thomas. They can't be blocked. The SEC would need a back up QB because Deacon Jones would put Manning out of the game.

Win for the SEC all day. Defense can't be stopped and all you have to do is let Bo and Herschel go to work. Those 2 alone lock up the win

If that was the rosters for the two teams in college the SEC would win however if it was the rosters for the two teams in the NFL the swac wins. I am basing this on what they did in college vs what they did in pros.

Do you think that Peyton Manning would finish the game?

Should Tobias Singleton be listed on the SEC or SWAC team?******

I like your idea, but I can't picture a Deacon Jones led defense giving up that type of rushing yards.

I'm looking at it as if they were all in their 20's again. Hell LC Greenwood is dead. No way he could make the roster.

I don't see that SWAC d-line giving up those rushing totals. That's a damn good line.

I'm picturing all players in their primes for this match up. This is the type of game that Madden and Summerall should be announcing

SEC would win 99/100 with those rosters. Herschel and Jackson in the same backfield? Good luck.

Back ups would be huge factors in this game. There are some hard hitters on both sides.

I looked at as what they did in Pros and College. Walker and Jackson did not have the best Pro years when you compare it to Walter. Most of those swac guys had really good years and have some super bowl bling to go with it. LC Greenwood has three or four rings.

One thing I would have love to seen Rice on a good SEC team but back then the SEC was wishbone options type offenses while Valley threw the ball all around. I guess maybe if John Bond and Don Smith would have had Jerry Rice they would have thrown it more.

MSU missed out on Payton, Rice, and McNair. Those are program/franchise changing players.

In the 60s and 70s, I'd wager that the SWAC had as good of athletes as the SEC. There were a lot of SWAC players that were cornerstones for NFL franchises. The SWAC of today doesn't had the athletes that it had in the past. Some will discount the SWAC because they don't know about its past. Google the players to see who they are. Most of all, Google Eddie Robinson.
