Today in MSN's top college for the money in each state, MSU ranked #1 in the state of Mississippi. Mentioned our Greeks and love of athletics and the tradition of our thousands of cowbells at home games. Maybe one of you guys can link.

You specialize in wet blankets? Lol.

We're number ONE! Woo hoo. Once again proving that we are the People's University in the State of Mississippi.

Wow looking at today's cost, 1st semester freshman in 1973 cost me $512.00 tuition and 1 semester dorm room.
Those were the good old days.

It's interesting. One of the reasons I could go to State 25 years ago was that even with out-of-state tuition, it cost roughly the same as me staying in-state and going to UGA. Now, thank's to the Alumni Scholarship, I'll be able to send my daughter to State in 2017 for about the same as sending her to UGA - and that factors in the HOPE program. I'll stack my education up against any of my friends that went to SEC schools (except Vandy) any day. Smaller classes, very few GA taught classes (in my case only labs) compared to everyone I knew.

My daughter is an incoming freshman this Fall. I got her first invoice last week. Tuition, fees, room and board = ~$10,000 for one semester.
