What's this all about?

Interesting. Assistant Director of Player Personnel and Relations at Illinois in 2012, when Billy Gonzales was Co-OC & WR coach there. He got promoted and replaced Gonzales as WR Coach when we took Billy away from Illinois, then was let go this year when Lovie Smith replaced the HC at Illinois and brought over his own crew.

No official title yet, but I'd bet Billy recommended him.

Another coach with NFL experience, albeit shortened by injury. Recruits like to know a coach has personal experience of what it takes to make it to the NFL.

Look like he's a quality control coach this year but I bet that doesn't last past this season.

I'm thinking it has more to do with Coach G getting HC opportunities. He almost got Colorado State last year.

Yup, Gonzalez hired an agent last year. He's ready to be a head coach.

Hoping so but we'll see. I don't expect him to be a quality control coach next year & I'd would prefer he coach at MSU than somewhere else.

Could he be the guy that is finally brought in so we can move Sallach back to an office position?

Basically a step up from Grad Assistants. They assist the on the field coaches during practice & games. Can't recruit off campus.

Does he know how to get online with a PS4 or XboxOne? Doesn't have to leave campus.

Sort of like the assistant to the assistant manager.
