Wolken, Staples, Forde, etc....those guys are gonna be in Birmingham on Thursday. They may/may not ask Freeze scathing questions on the investigation. He may/may not say "no comment" 246 times...but what do you think their stories are gonna be about?? "om returning starters on defense"? "how the WR must step up in light of Treadwell leaving"?? ...nope

The "story" is the investigation. Those guys are all in on that. So, there will be more investigation stories from national writers this week...bet the house on it! Will they reveal anything new??? Maybe/maybe not, but that's what these guys will be writing about this week, for no other reason than the fact that Bucky is in front of a microphone...it's gonna be a fun week

A few weeks ago we were all speculating about the "2nd" national article containing quotes from former recruits and players that is supposedly coming out and were saying when we'd release the article in regards to SEC Media Days. Some said release it today and others, myself included, were for releasing it an hour before Freezus speaks.

In rethinking that, I think now its best to release it after he speaks. Think about it. If it gets released before he speaks, the media can question him on it but even with little prep time he will get to defend, deflect, lie and hypnotize a national audience from a podium and a microphone. Release it afterwards and he either has to call a press conference or get Killaburger on the phone to let everyone know of his piety. Either of those methods of defense will be on a much smaller stage than SEC Media Days. Even without this story breaking, there are going to be plenty of sharks in the water swimming to the boat.

Release it as he takes the podium, then bomb him with "according to a new report by xXX, ....".

You definitely want it released before he speaks. Even if he doesn't speak on it now the whole day he & his players are making the rounds that is the topic of conversation. It's not what they say that is important it's what the media is talking about. A new article puts the investigation right back on front street for the media during the biggest media day of the year.

To be honest I don't care. freeze has rehearsed every possible question. We will not learn anything new.
