On their website, it just says "more than 64,000" but it's not clear if that's what it is now or what it will be this fall. If now, I'm sure that "more than 64,000" just means "larger than MSU's", which I don't think is the case.

You are falling to the propaganda. Here is my narrative - They are shit, Their stadium is shit, They are all shit... Say it with me now.

Probably around the same capacity as ours, although I'm sure they will claim it's bigger. The main difference, however, is that our new end zone is not see through.

Word is it will hold bunches of current and former sorostitutes, "men" in red britches, lawyers, idiots waiting to work in daddy's business, and some clarion ledger journalists. And some opposing fans also.

what difference does it make? to borrow a line from a well known criminal. They are going to be quite empty for several years to come.

I think they were due to lose some seats in the South Endzone for their field level club. I think they didn't have the money to go forward with that. If that moves forward I think they lose a couple thousand seats. It will be close to Davis Wade but won't have near the variety of premium spaces.

The sound of 10,000 6 inch heels stomping on aluminum will be intimidating. And that's just counting the heels the guys are wearing.

Funny I overheard a table of bear sharks at brotherhood this morning talking about if the renovation was going good..... One said oh yeah almost done and looking good! I wanted to lol and say shouldn't have taken too long since it was a cheap aluminum job but thought that might not be best starting a argument at church....

I think I read where the official number is 64,038. And they were excited because of the 38 reference to Chucky Mullins number, and they didn't plan it to be that, it just happened that way.

In Texas that tarp at Baylor is referred to as "The Tarp Of Shame" - Google it, funny as shit.

That's the old Baylor Stadium, which they just tore down. The new stadium is McLane Stadium, which is awesome..too bad the Baylor players turned to be a bunch of rapists.

Guess Baylor is going to have to pull that tarp out of storage.

We of course used to have aluminum bleachers in the endzone for students. I've seen the pictures here of the bleachers at UNM and now have read that it is for the student section. Will people be able to walk under these bleachers and will trash fall to the ground beneath them? If so, can you imagine the pint liquor bottles dropped through and the danger below and time and cost of cleanup beneath them after the game (most use only until halftime then back to the grove of course)?

When it is done and said, the new stadium will be as empty as the old one.

Our bleachers were never intended to be permanent, and I doubt the ones they had were either. If I remember correctly, the first ones we had were really crappy. We used those for a few seasons, then got the larger and better ones until our first-class expansion a couple years ago. Sure am glad we waited till we could afford to build it like it should be.

Surely they'll cover the area in their expansion bleachers ... if not, it would be very dangerous. Their other expansion on the opposite end is built the same way, I think. I've only been there once some years ago, but they had that unsafe, ringing noise.

TSUN South Endzone is concrete. Their new North Bowl is just metal bleachers with a bricks on the outside.

Will be interesting to see what they claim. While most places count butts in seats they have to count a**holes.

I think having the trash fall through to the ground below will actually save time in cleanup.

Then the joke will be: What is the difference between Vaught-Hemmingway stadium and a porcupine? A porcupine has 64K+ pricks on the outside.
