So, he picked a ball up at the warning track down 3rd base line and throws a shoot to the catcher at the plate......

I don't remember seeing this before. that's a 315 or so toss?

You can see "24" in the corner, so it's 324 from the wall. No way he was 9-10 feet from the wall. Easily a throw of 320 or more.

Good night!! And it was flat and still traveling full speed. Amazing.

That is basically a replica of Bo Jackson's. Amazing. And btw, he has a .963 OPS with 19 HR in AAA.

Where is C34?

Can't believe the lowly Padres haven't called him up yet...they need all the help they can get...

Added to this as I've watched it half a dozen times. Renfroe doesn't even seem to well planted.

I'll bet he does this daily during warm ups when he's behind a fly to left or right, coming in and really gets behind a throw. That catcher better be ready......it's coming at a high rate of speed.

No way he ever sniffs the majors. He can't hit or play defense well enough. Just a good college player-Coach34

My guess is that they're trying to improve his plate discipline before they call him up. That 4% BB rate needs to come up. Still, he's cut his K rate down to 18%, which is huge for him. If he can avoid a huge K rate in the majors, he's going to be a successful major leaguer for a long time because he's likely going to sustain a high BABIP. Hitting .331 this year.

Looked a lot like the Cespedes mutant throw a few years ago when he was with the A's.

He's coming up after the All Star Game.

I'm right here. I've always said he was an All-star defensive player but wont perform at the plate to stay in MLB a full season. I may be wrong on this one. His bat has really come around this year

Thats a bald-faced lie. I've always called him an All-Star level defensive player. I said his bat would never keep him in MLB for a full season- we'll see

This guy has seen probably 4x the amount of live game at bats at this level than his entire life prior. He is and will continue to get better for the next couple of years. I heard a crazy stat where he only had like 50 official at bats in high school due to the number of walks he got.

I went to high school with Renfroe. And it was a tiny little high school. Copiah Academy. He was the star quarterback for our football team and could play basically every position in baseball. I tried to talk him into playing basketball my senior year because we desperately needed a point guard and you better believe he could have been an awesome one. Bottom line dude is an insane athlete
