The CL is hiding this the same way the Mississippi media hid Civil Rights in the 1960's. The Clarion Ledger was a HUGE supporter of the anti-Civil rights people in the 1960's, never covering the lynchings, church bombings, or attacks on Civil Rights workers. WLBT would regularly block coverage if the Nightly News reported on Mississippi.

Much like these pro-segregationist, anti-freedom Mississippi media members in the 1950's and 1960's, they now protect that Peculiar Institution known as Ole Miss. While the national Media and brave alternative journalists shine light on the corruption going on up in Oxford, the local media is trying to cover up yet another scandal.

Yep, you are dead on. The Clarion Ledger has ALWAYS been the mouth piece of the OLD SOUTH. They epitomize what "Ole Miss" stands for. The sooner that rag dies the better for the state of Mississippi.

Well, until you can get Gannett (http://www.gannett.com/) to stop funding them, you can forget about them drying up.

Gannet obviously agrees with their "Old South" crap. It's hard to believe but there is no other interpitaion possible since Gannet continues to support them. Gannet is obviously the last remaining bastion of the racist "Old South"

It wasn't just the CL ... it was virtually the entire state and all the media.

All I will say is that they are very used to spinning stories and controlling the narrative. They think that they can brain wash everyone but we live in a different time now. The NCAA is going to hammer them and we along with the rest of the college football world will be there to laugh at them.
