Wow....that is bush league. At least the fans will be able to turn around and look between the bleacher benches to see whats going on in the grove so they can time their exit accordingly.

Had a couple swear up and down they were going to close in the bottom where you couldn't see through them. So let me get this straight....they tore down their metal bleaches and added metal bleaches from sideline to sideline to add an additional 3,000 or so seats? At a cost of 84 million? All I can say is thank you Scott Stricklin for doing it right.

You won't be able to see through them for long. I've been told once probation hits, the endzone will look like this

That says to me they blew their wad on replacing the Tad Pad, and came prematurely to have "something" in place to make football look like it was keeping up with Davis Wade. What a bunch of flaccid tools.

That's way too dangerous to use there. They'll average five drunks a game falling through.

I'm objective enough to say that it looks good...AND CHEAP! They look like a high school stadium here in Texas.

Sure the people walking underneath will enjoy drinks getting spilled on them.

More cosmetic bullshit from them. Like the grove, it's a huge charade meant to hide the trash that lies just under the surface .

Seriously, this is the most symbolic thing ever of UNM. As long as it looks good on tv they don't care, just don't look behind the curtains.

Tells me they spent their allotment recruiting and paying utility bills for the players families.

Penny wise pound foolish. They should have gone with a Dant Clayton system which would have been pre-cast concrete on the steel structure for only a couple hundred thousand dollars more. This looks like they got hornswoggled by the contractor during a 'Value Engineering' phase.

That stadium is a total dump. I hadn't been in it in years but I went to the MHSAA games in December. It reminded me of the way Scott Field was back in the 70s underneath the stands. It looked totally lopsided on the inside too. The total focus of the stadium is the south endzone. The rest looks like a cobbled together afterthought. It looks like that isn't changing.

They'll have slides under it to catch the trash that falls through and take it to the bottom. The other trash can just toss their garbage down it too.

Pretty sure that's what Kentucky did. I've only been there once and it was several years ago, but the seating area had a ringing sound and wasn't particularly solid ... seemed to move around a bit. Looks like that's what the Bears are doing.

Just found this. It's incredible how similar Vaught Hemingway is to the Independence Bowl Stadium in Shreveport. The layout, metal bleachers, etc.... are basically the same. What a dump

Those metal bleachers go nicely with the tin roof overhang on the west side of the stadium. Has that nice trailer trash effect that is approved of by most of their fan base. Makes them feel right at home.
