Awesome news! Dude is a straight up baller. For a guy that is 6'5 he has decent speed but a lot of dexterity. He could be a great one working with Billy G.

Football..... he and Couch are going to leave some secondaries with black eyes. Neither are afraid to hit.

Redshirt or play? Seems pretty raw but we could probably use his height in the red zone. Bear Force II ??

If we're going for nicknames, I'm all for "Magic Man"

Todd-a!

He should be able to go up and pull down some crazy catches.

This plus his grades were a question mark.

Seems like it was a grades thing. He transferred high schools and was ineligible to play football his junior year. May be that his previous school and environment was not conducive to good academics. I presume he needed a higher ACT score because his H.S. grades were bad. He re-took his ACT in April and got a 25.

Billy Gonzales was already on his trail last fall. Losing Fred Brown and Bear boosted his value to us.

A few cycles ago in the state of Alabama, De'Runnya Wilson was its Mr. Basketball out of Birmingham (Ala.) Wenonah High School. As a senior, though, he tired his hand on the gridiron and was an instand matchup nightmare at wide receiver to the point that several SEC programs showed interest before he picked the Mississippi State Bulldogs. He's now the undoubted top option for All-SEC quarterback Dak Prescott every Saturday.

In the 2016 cycle, Prichard (Ala.) Blount High School features Reggie Todd, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound hoops standout committed to New Mexico State. He too has crossed over to football, excelling for the 9-1 Leopards as Kadarius Toney's top option heading into playoff play. Scout was on hand to see the duo in action last week and perhaps fittingly, MSU wide receivers coach Billy Gonzales was also patrolling the sidelines with an eye on Todd and others. More than 100 yards and two impressive scores later (video above), Todd seems like a potential "Bear" Wilson 2.0.

I don't usually get giddy about a HS kid but I am about this dude. Concerns about stone hands are minister because this dude played very athletically in basketball. Bear was like a PF or C but in watching his film he played like a SF. put this guy in the weight room and make him eat and he could be an absolute beast.

Plus, instead of picking up a guy from Juco this guy is a freshman which guarantees us three years win him. Mark my word he will make us forget Bear jumped early.
