2) During Allbarn's rise, the NCAA was seen as toothless. Today, the NCAA wants to be relevant and it seems they are feeling their oats.

3) Allbarn's biggest pawn was a charismatic Heisman Trophy candidate/winner that they bought from Mississippi State. UNM took it to a whole new level when they started to piss off UAT, Notre Lame, UGA, Flarda, UTA and the like with their shenanigans.
