Gary Henderson interview

Henderson was interviewed on head to head today.

The was the first time I had heard him.

I missed the first part of it but of what I did hear .. he has put 7 pitchers in the majors in the past 5 years. Most in the conference.

And that doesn't include AJ Reed who was one of the top dual position players in college. He will play first base for the Astros.

Our pitching staff is going to be high level the next 2 years assuming typical Henderson coaching. Next year our starters will probably be the weak link but our bullpen should be improved. I see a combination of Pilkington, Cyr, James and Padgett starting, maybe Breaux. Then veterans Rigby and Smith out of the bullpen, along with Billingsley, and hopefully Young (if his summer ball is any indication). Then in 2018 we will be lights out across the board. Whoever isn't starting will be in the bullpen. 2 JUCO pitchers coming and and several freshmen, all highly rated.

Recrootin seems like it could use a boost, but right now I'm focused on the next 2 years, and that team's core is already on campus (or will be in the fall).
