See what happens when LSU has to report actual attendance?

On a semi related topic, I suspect Omaha merchants will notice this year's field is missing the SEC flavor.

TCU will bring the most fans followed by OSU. After that Texas Tech maybe.

If LaLa and Stark Vegas are an indication, the fighting Byrnes don't travel for baseball. The rest will account for very few other than friends, family and die hards. Hell Miami only gets 2500/game at home for a Super.

What is impressive that we don't get enough credit for is that we draw these crowds in a town of 20,000 where LSU does it in a city of 228,895.

It may just be me, but I believe if Starkville had a population of 200,000+ we'd have to build a 20,000 seat stadium to hold the crowds.

Tickets in Omaha will be cheaper this year for sure.

Yep, its going to hurt Omaha ticket sales and TV viewership not having many teams there with large fanbases. Even a team like Miami has great tradition and made it but they have very few fans that care about their program. Florida is pretty much the same way. Not really any of the teams going have much of a fan following really.

Florida fans will flock in masses to the nearest television if they make the national championship game... And they will all be baseball/umpiring experts within 20 minutes of turning on the tube.

That's generous. The metropolitan territory encompassing the city, known as Greater Baton Rouge, has a population of 820,159

We are Kentucky basketball minus the NCs. I look forward to the day that is no longer true when we are finally holding up the trophy.
