Just saw this on my twitter timeline, and couldn't help but imagine how awkward this dinner will be tonight.

Won't be awkard. They know each other pretty well.

There might be a "told you so" thrown out there from AD to the other.

Saw Byrne before the Arizona game. We told him there might be an opening soon. He said he only wore AZ colors.

So, are you trying to insinuate that you think Byrne would take the OM job if it ever came open? Or did I miss that entirely?

The OM job might be open soon. He laughed and tugged on his AZ shirt saying those are the only one's he'd wear. Sorry for the troll appearance. Thought it was funny how quick witted he was.

I have a good friend from the mid-west who is very good friends with Byrne and who does not like MSU (he has family who are bears). He talks with Byrne very regularly. He said Byrne loved and still loves MSU and Starkville. My friend hates all things MSU and Byrne tells him he is nuts.

Yeah Byrne is still a fan of MSU. He came out in the outfield the other night with the AZ players & shook hands graciously with us MSU fans & was very polite & humble. His son, Nick is interning with the Bulldog Club this summer. Obvs their fam is still fans of MSU.
