? ? ? If he signs does he have to give back his "signing bonus" to UNM ? :)

The San Diego Padres drafted wide receiver and outfielder A.J. Brown in the 19th round. The true freshman has already enrolled at Ole Miss, where he plans to play baseball and football. If he signed with the Padres, he'd still be eligible to play football for the Rebels but not baseball. The four-star football signee was ranked the No. 5 wide receiver and No 38 player overall, according to 247Sports' Composite Rating.

They'll have to give him more than the $375,000 Ole Miss did

Now you are just being silly, it was only 250k.*

ETA: Why couldn't he take the money and run? It's not like they can tell on him for not sticking to the deal.

Either way that's a lot for a WR .

He's a good wr. What made him worth that though to them is he's a good wr from Starkville

Shit, if it was me, I would sign the baseball contract and bounce. Got his money from UNM and his signing bonus. See ya...

He should play baseball since OM is about to get murdered by the NCAA. He can always come back to college and play WR if baseball doesn't work out. Plus, he would probably be more physically and mentally mature by then.

he only got a little to sign- the payments from Miller and crew don't start until he is on campus. If he can trick the Padres into giving him a decent bonus- you never know. But I think it's highly unlikely

$115,000 to sign & another $250,000 once on campus.

Golsen's dumbass turned down 1 million from the Red Sox to go back to Ole Miss and go thru 2 a days as a true freshman.

Brown at 19? Ha!

They put most of them on a 5K per month plan once the kids enroll in June. That helps the families find housing and buy their TV's, cars, and jewelry
