Polk-Dement Stadium ?

I know the Polk story of the naming of our baseball stadium, but can someone tell me more about Mr. Gordon Dement? I googled the stadium but little info about him. Wiki ( which I don't really trust) and HailState had very little about him except he loved and was a lifetime supporter of MSU baseball.
