There's a line of storms from Yazoo city to Amory. The southern end of that line may clip Starkville. Does not look like a wash out, though. Maybe a rain/lightning delay early in the game.

Rained buckets in West Point fm 5:15 to 5:45. The same line of thunderstorms runs thru Starkville back to Yazoo City. No way first pitch at 6:30. Based on current radar, I'd be amazed if we play tonite. Has resumed raining at 6:00.

Jim Ellis just said tarp on field. Had a rain storm around 5:30. Had a lightning strike within 8 miles so there is a 30 delay in force right now. Both teams will be allowed to take some practice before any game would start.

Ellis just said talking with game management and they are all trying to guess the weather. Had last lightning strike 10 min ago so he has left the air until 7:10 where he will check back in to update status. Still thundering in W. Pt. currently. Guess that's why they call them thunderstorms. Lite rain here.

Prolly got a lightning detector. I've got a weather app on my phone called Storm that sends out advisories when precip and lightning is within a certain distance of my location. It's a good app to get if you don't have it ... it's free. Advertisements are non-intrusive.
