I like it.

3-0 likely start

A week off between LSU and A&M

Auburn, Kentucky, Arkansas and UT Martin for a 3-1/4-0 midseason

Vandy between Alabama and Ole Miss.

Most favorable MSU schedule since '98 and '99

Strangely enough, that sounds perfectly reasonable. Then again, this all depends on how the team is next season. But a 6-2 with 4 toss-ups sounds amazing. That means we have the possibility of going 10-2 next season. I'd be down for that.

That is a very favorable schedule. Nine wins in the regular season is very possible with the team we should have.

I will sternly judge Mullen by next year's results. That is the most favorable schedule we've had since hiring him, our QB depth chart will be nothing but his preferred dual-threat style, and we will return a lot of experience at all positions.

There is no excuse for us to struggle offensively in 2014. If we continue to be lackluster then I will be pounding the drum for a change at OC.

That's actually a nice layout of a schedule. Did LT get kicked off the SEC scheduling panel?

I predict if Vandy has 8 wins in regular season this year Franklin moves on to a bigger gig

If we get Vandy, who gets Kentucky.

I see a good shot at 8 wins with more possible, that is a nice schedule for once.

It will be Vandy's year to turn the corner and win 10.**

I'd prefer to have Auburn earlier, but other than that, I like it. Anything less than eight wins will be a big disappointment.

Manziel will hopefully be gone.

@ UK could be a trap game by then, though..

This is exactly right. Next year is what all his previous years have been building toward and we get an ideal schedule. No excuses.

Hud will go 10-2.

Hell yeah - that basically would mean consecutive 10+ wins seasons. I'd take that and Hud...

I see it as a potential 7-8 win season, but it won't be as easy as it looks. We have better chances to beat some of the West teams at home, but Kentucky will be improved, and Vandy should be tough. But I do like playing 3 non-conf games before LSU.

If were are rationalizing how tough Vandy and Kentucky are in Year 6 of Dan Mullen's tenure, we might as well give Mullen the boot. I don't care how strong the SEC is, what's the point of paying somebody that much cash if they can't field a team that should clearly beat the bottom teams in their league? Give Hud a chance if we get to that point...

Southern Miss to the top - put their fans in the upper deck.

Just to clarify, our permanent....UK didn't change, just replacing USC with Vandy.

I want to keep UK as the permanent cross. Ole Miss can keep Vandy. Only other I would want is Mizzou.

I like that schedule. USM is a great opening game. If we play them ever again it needs to be the 1st game. I like following that with a team we should beat. But two is awesome. LSU and Atm are a tough back to back, but that is the only real tough back to back of the season.

UK will be better by next year, but I still expect to beat them there. Arkansas will be better next year, but they come to Starkville and that will be hell on them. Then we get a week to relax before we head into the real meat of the schedule. Bama at bama is just going to be hard unless saban leaves. Vandy at home is something I love. I want to beat those uptight bitches worse than anything. Lived in Nashville and they were unmitigated assholes to the degree that Ole Miss has never dreamed of. Unless we have something terrible happen between now and next thanksgiving, I think we win in Oxford too.

My feeling is that we will be 8 wins headed into the egg bowl. Could be 7 and could be 9. All depends on how Dak and the offensive line improves between now and next September.

Dak is going to kick ass. We'll be back to the zone read with a hell of a lot more talent than we had when Relf was running the show.

I am nervous about our OL though. Our OL recruiting needs to step up.

I agree with you about USM. I'm not totally against playing USM. In fact, I have always felt like if we were going to claim to be the superior team in the state, we should play them every once in awhile. Like twice every five years seems reasonable to me.

And I do agree that it should be the first game of the year.
