Guys, this Simmons stuff will only go on as long as we let it. Ole Miss fans & apologists are going to keep bringing it up to try and keep it atop the topics of conversation Nationally. Don't respond. If we as a fan base will not get defensive, own that we knew this would get bad pub, and simply let the conversation die....it will go away very soon.

Ignore It. Don't respond to it. Don't defend it. Don't discuss it. Let it fall off the trending page and fade away.

And for God's sake, don't get into a back & forth with Ole Miss fans, bc they know they're fried, so they want our PR to take a continuous hit too...so obliging them in a defensive debate is only doing what they set out to do...1) piss you off, and 2) Keep negative MSU news in the forefront. Ignore it. For once in our fandom, let's handle this the right way, and ignore this shit after tonight. Like its old old news.

EXACTLY right. It's been handled. If you don't like it or do like it. Accept it and move on.

And look, we will not censure peoples posts or anything but LET TODAY BE THE STORY.
Move forward tomorrow. Our school has spoken and Simmons is a dog. Agree or disagree we sure don't all support every decision Dan or Scott do but we all are Dogs and will pull together to make the university better. You better damn well know Simmons is on a short leash and will be watched extremely close. Not like at Baylor or North Mississippi where 2nd chancers can continue to screw up with nothing called on them. Dan is allowed to give a 2nd chance to a player and allow him to become a better man under Dan.

KEEP The Simmons posts to the main post. We don't need 20 threads about this.
We have players starting class today and a regional starting tomorrow which should be our focus.

All I did was ask where was the reporting on stringfellow. I then linked the ESPN article about his dismissal and his subsequent arrest after a fight while enrolled at OM.

I've done the same. Schlabach and Sallee both and nothing from them once they got that response even after they've been going back and forth. I'm done by tomorrow night once the regionals are dominating the headlines this will be a minor news story

Exactly! Just let it go! This is a society of instant info. People always looking for the next scandal and trust there's one out there somewhere. Let this go and it will be old news and gone in a couple days. Ours will go away, our friends at the cesspool up norths problems are not going away soon, keep that in mind!

Ole Miss is just pissed Dan wasn't dumb enough to cut him so the Beaver could swoop in and take him to Haiti.
