I think he will sort of pull an Urban Meyer and instead of it being heart issues it will be something like he wants to focus more on his "ministry". Ole Miss fans will eat it up too.

Does he have enough years in the state to retire? Highly unlikely.

He's going nowhere unless there is a showcause. They will claim he had no knowledge of the improper benefits, to in their eyes he is innocent. Now, can he coach a team with fewer scholarship players and under several years probation is another story. When probation hits, it will be amazing how many 4 star players will walk on with no means of the financial means to do so. Only a serious penalty will get their attention and stop business as usual.

Hugh is going to be the coach at ole miss this fall. How well his legal team is determines if he makes it farther. If they are good, he will be coach there for 3 more years. Then the scholarship sanctions will make them punt his ass. He will not get a show cause.

If he has managed his money wisely, he could probably reasonably retire right now.

As of now- he has survived the show-cause. But it's far from over. We'll see what comes out of Round 2

He was an assistant back in 2005. If he put 4 years in, he's vested. However, unless he gets 25 years of State service he won't start seeing that retirement until he's 60.

Hugh will coach this year but around November the hot seat chatter will be intense. He'll be let go after the Egg Bowl.

Hope he stays. Without cheating he is a pretty good girls high school coach

I think they will hold onto him as long as possible. It would be hard to hire someone else with ANOTHER investigation going on while it is known that they will be on probation for earlier misgivings.

I do think that the assistants named will be gone.

In 2013 the NCAA changed the language that regardless is a hc knew about said violations he can and will be held accountable. Should more information about he and staff lying to NCAA comes out things will get very interesting on the plantation

Something along these lines. He will feel the call to go into full time ministry. On the back end of the investigation we'll find out he would've been gone anyway. But the Beardsharks will admit nothing until it is admitted for them.
