The talk of Spirit Chuck hosing the OM world with sewage made me take a look to see what this part of the machine had to say.

http://djournal.com/sports/college/ole-miss/response-ole-miss-backs-current-assistants/

I shouldn't have been surprised when he still spews that the NCAA was NOT surprised at Tunsil's Draft Show. Still touting that the opportunity fund is covering such transactions.

Of course the penalties OM has put forth will be accepted by the NCAA. NO coaches,..I repeat, NO coaches will be fired.

There's more if you can roll up your pants legs that high. Even Alford looks like he's puking in his own mouth while speaking (not kidding there).

BTW, is there a relation to Warner Alford with this guy? The elder was AD of OM during the Billy Brewer fiasco, and "stepped down", or was simply canned.

As you know, you can't change the smell of a skunk, Black Bears are in complete denial and have circled the wagons.

This was my first time seeing the letter from (I'm assuming) the athletic director.

Dear Ole Miss Family:

As you know, (actually they didn't know because they kept insisting that there was nothing to know) the University of Mississippi has been cooperating (if by cooperating you mean continually hiding, lying, and spinning the truth) with the NCAA since 2012 on a review of potential NCAA bylaw violations associated with our Department of Athletics. After almost four years and more than 265 interviews (holy smokes, surely there is nothing to see here.***That's only a few more than "interviews" or what most people call interrogations than whitewater) with current staff, former staff, boosters, third parties, and student-athletes, (that's a pretty impressive list. I like how you avoided saying coaches and athletic directors) the NCAA issued (hammered you with) a Notice of Allegations (“NOA”) to the University on January 22, 2016, alleging violations in women’s basketball, track and field, and football (I LOVE how they list football last like they are hoping you will mentally skip over it). According to the NCAA enforcement process, the University had 90 days to formally respond, and we submitted our Response to the Notice of Allegations (“Response”) in April. Around that same time, another involved party requested and received a 30-day extension. Because that extension has now elapsed, we are releasing our Response and the NOA to the public. (You could have released the NOA whenever you felt like it. Stop acting like it was for the sake of the "third party" which is probably one of your coaches who are getting a show cause.)

The NCAA has alleged, and we agree, that serious violations have occurred. (Someone send a carrier pigeon to Chuck Roundball because he hasn't gotten the message yet. Just this week everything was minor.)

(Now we are about to spin and make excuses.)

Most (Not all by any stretch of the imagination) of the more significant violations resulted from either (1) intentional misconduct and efforts to conceal that misconduct by former employees who face unethical conduct charges and personal sanctions; or (2) actions of individual boosters who conducted themselves contrary to rules education (what a joke. I'm sure they tried to teach how not to get caught but these yahoos were to ignorant and brazen to follow our instructions) provided by the University. For 27 of the 28 allegations, we agree that a violation of NCAA rules occurred; however, for several of those allegations we do not agree on all of the facts. For five of those 27 violations, we believe the violation should be classified differently (e.g., the violation is alleged as a ?Level II violation? but we contend the violation should be classified as ?Level III?). (I like how they use level 2 violations as their example instead of admitting that they are scared as Hades of the level 1s.)

In response to these violations, we have taken several corrective actions (we will try not to get caught again) and we have self-imposed significant penalties (we have thrown some crap against the wall and we hope it sticks). The NCAA Committee on Infractions (?COI?) will consider our Response ("They're all going to laugh at you" in my Carrie voice) as it determines whether to assess penalties in addition to the penalties we have already self-imposed (they already know they will). We based our self-imposed penalties on the COI?s decisions in other cases and the NCAA penalty matrix released in 2012 (they found the lightest penalties that they could find to try to conjure some mercy out of the NCAA).

The University’s cooperation with the NCAA throughout this process has been exemplary(ever since they got caught cheating they have worked much harder to not get caught cheating). In fact, the University self-reported or played a central role in discovering most of the violations (why do I not believe this). When employees or student-athletes failed to live up to Ole Miss core values, the University took decisive action, including terminating (but Kiffin, nix, and Maurice are still on staff along with Barney and Mr. John) or disciplining employees (with time off from work to go on a vacation or mission trip) and imposing scholarship reductions (that they couldn't fill anyway) and recruiting restrictions (that mean nothing). The University also disassociated itself from representatives of Ole Miss’s athletics interests — boosters — who were involved in violations (now they have to buy their season tickets and reserve their spot in the Grove under their wife's name). The most serious violations involve academic misconduct (call it what it is:FRAUD) that occurred in football six years ago and in women’s basketball almost four years ago. Before, during and since the issuance of the NOA, we have taken a proactive approach to compliance, rules-education, and monitoring. As our Department of Athletics has grown, so has our commitment to compliance. Since 2011, we have more than doubled our compliance staff (we needed more people to handle all that cash) and instituted more than 100 new compliance measures (yet they still were currently paying Tunsil directly through an asst AD and coach).
