Now we just need the Gators to kill LSU and we will be good to go.

If both LSU and Ole Miss go out in the semis, have they really accomplished anything this year in baseball?

They have their closer out there who has given up one earned run in 27 innings. I think they got it covered.

Florida's hitting grounders to the infield and right at the SS and 2nd base. Either our positioning sucks balls this tournament or we just don't have range.

Florida brought their A game against us only to lay another turd against LSU. Nice....

So of the 52 errors in this tournament 45 were committed by the infield either on bad hops or throwing errors. I'd say the infield is way too hard. Probably because no one plays on the surface. That makes me feel a little bit better regarding our errors. I think we should be okay next week but the errors really had the most effect on our loses then our pitching did.

Should be OK in Starkville, but is the field in Omaha used for other than the CWS? They do have a different kind of grass there, and it's probably softer (basing that on bent grass greens being softer than Bermuda grass ... probably Kentucky Blue is softer too).

Creighton Bluejays use it as their home field so it is being used for baseball.

Lsu and Florida on their 4th pitcher and it's 1-0... That's impressive, esp considering Florida still hasn't used the sec pitcher of the year

Or we got unlucky.

So here it is SEC gets four national seeds: A&M, Florida, MSU, and surprise USC. LSU and Ole Miss didn't do anything to get a national seed. They both host but will not get a Super. I think the only way either of those teams would have gotten a super would have been to win the tournament.

I think you are right. It wasn't just us that had issues.

It will be interesting to see who gets the fourth National Seed out of the SEC. I think South Carolina would have locked it up with a SEC Tournament win- but I do agree that they get it over the Rebels and Possums.
