Well baseball is a superstitious sport and we all-the-sudden change our lineup with a 12-game winning streak. The better question, smoot is what was wrong with the lineup that led to a 12-game winning streak?
Baseball is a superstitious sport? That's what we're going with as to why this lineup is silly?

Hudson's last bad start was vs lsu. Hudson hasn't been good vs last 4 (Florida, aTm, lsu, and lsu) ranked teams. He's been very good vs unranked teams. Think the schedule is what made Hudson look better of late

Hudson looked pissed coming off the field a min ago. He needs to be a leader and get into their ass and wake them up. He looked good at first then got in trouble. We keep the errors down and quit giving them 10 outs an inning we will be fine. We can hit anyone....

It's marginally different than what we've run out there during the 12-game win streak, and we obviously wanted to get Stovall some action before regional play.
It's just hilarious to point to the lineup construction tonight as the reason we're not hitting well. The differences are minimal, and no one is hitting well.

I agree. He's had 2 unearned runs. We also had an error at 2nd that wasn't called an error. And I don't know what we were doing with Gridley playing halves at SS against a slow runner. A lot of seeing eye grounders and he's had to throw about 20 pitches more than he should have.

No, that's a dumb theory by the announcers. He's striking out plenty, and nobody's hitting the ball hard for them.
If this is what they do when they know what's coming, that's a bad sign for their offense.

We are SEC champions a d are good enough to be tourney champs and may very well still be. But someone has got to keep Cohen out of the ****in way! When he should be coaching, he wont coach. I know this game meant nothing to us so I'm not mad.. Just frustrated but here are a couple of thoughts I've had watching this.
1. Hudson is elite against bad teams and average against good teams. Go look at starts against FLA, LSU, A&M
2. We weren't focused at all tonight which is frustrating. No excuse for the errors.
3. Humphreys has got to get out of the slump if we are going to make a fun. He has not been himself lately.
4. Hopefully we got a dose of reality tonight. Idk if we will come back or not, but if we don't we better come out focused tomorrow, because it won't get any easier, and if you make errors against Florida, it won't be 6-2 it will be 16-2.

That's what I thought too. We played such good competition to begin with and the last month we've had the luxury to play mediocre baseball, and still win. From here on out (with the exception of maybe the first game of the regional) we will be back to facing studs. I hope this isn't an idea of what we are going to see. Before I get ridiculed, I think we are very good and have faith. I just think we need to get back to being sharp against good competition.

Baseball is a superstitious sport? That's what we're going with as to why this lineup is silly?
We struggled at the plate and moved the lineup all the way around. The only spots we kept the same were 1,2, and 8. It sucked. Experiment hopefully over. Of course, later today we face a lefty again. Hopefully this won't be the lineup we see.
Hopefully, we sit Rooker. He is on a heck of a slump and we put him in the cleanup spot. Lowe had played all year at the three spot and you move him to the five hole. You basically had a completely new lineup that you threw out there 57 games into the season. That is just plain dumb.

No way I would have replaced Holland tonight. Not in a million years. I wouldn't have even messed with the lineup. Not one bit.
Dang-Stovall had two hits. I think it is a great idea to go platoon for lefty-righty matchups.

I'm not sure what the deal is with Luke, but I really wish he was SS when Hudson pitches. Hudson gives up a lot of groundball singles that I'm and I'm sure Luke could get to more than Gridley.
Like they said last night with one of the brothers for LSU hitting Gridley was playing shallow. Why?? If LA could consistently hit the ball Gridley's ass would be on the bench. And what is it about our infielders that don't dive for the damn ball? I've seen so many they have been right there on that they more than likely could have made a play or even saved a run diving for the ball keeping it on the infield.

Oh I agree. Gridley is a decent SS but we have recruited too well to be starting just a decent SS. The SS should be the best player you have on the infield IMO shit if we had Frasier last night we wouldn't have lost the game. Half of LSU's hits went between the 3rd base SS side.

And I will also say that if you are going to start Collins at 3rd, you can't have Gridley at SS. The range on that side is just horrendous.

100% agree. I really wish something would click with LA and he would just take over the SS position. I know he's not 100% right now but hell I think LA less than 100% would be better than Gridley at 100%.

It's nowhere close to as important as you're making it out to be.
Lowe was used to hitting 3rd but since 4 batters had already hit before him by his 1st AB, he was completely screwed up as to how to hit the ball**
