A rainout could be in play for the UNM v aTm series.

Unless more pop up this isn't a day long scenario.

It would be awful if TAMU were deprived of the opportunity to share the conference title because of the weather.

Severe thunderstorm on top of them now. I think they should cancel for everyone's safety. And I'm a storm chaser so I should know.

Agreed. We need as many of our broadcast meteorologists as possible to contact the SEC offices and give them a dire warning about the weather conditions in college station. Can't be too safe!

Haven't heard anything official, but it does look like start time will be delayed. Appears storms will be popping up all around; possible lightning chances. Another thing to consider....does OM have a time they have to leave for travel purposes? Don't know, but have seen that scenario before. Will be something to keep an eye on.

I think tsun should just say they don't want to play and risk the danger. Obviously, baseball is not an important sport to them. Certainly not as important as track and women's basketball.

Looks like a definite cancel situation to me... you can never be too safe... we're talking about people's lives and our outright SEC Championship here.

I used to live in the Delta, and I logged much windshield time everyday. Often I was diverted from course of normal business to chase storms. From my limited experience the SEC league office should have some hard time limits in place for start and finish times. They should go ahead and take my advice and cancel the game. Too many women and children and old people may end up in danger. It's just simply not worth risking them get wet or worse struck by flying objects such as baseballs or bats today. There is simply too much at risk to take away our outright SEC Championship for sake of the women, children, old people and powder blue uni's....

The folks on TexAgs are saying there are more storms still to come, and they're having trouble draining the field.

How many asterisks would we have to scratch onto our 2016 SEC Champion trophy if the team that swept us misses a sure win because of the weather? We might as well have won Tallest Midget or tied for the lead in a sister-kissing contest.

Rainouts are part of the game. I'll take it and not think twice about it.

Storms SW of College Station have now prompted a flash flood warning. Gonna be wet there a little while.

Weather.com for College Station says the thunderstorm should stop by 4:30. Whether they play this game may depend on well their field drains. Two hours of the "heavy stuff" will be a challenge... let's hope Karl Spackler heads up their grounds crew.

Last I checked a 21-9 record > 20-9 record so NO asterisks needed.

Looked at the radar a few minutes ago and the storm is still hanging around. Doesn't seem to be moving much. A rainout is a real possibility. Wonder how long a delay they will take before just calling it?

What are you talking about? If we win it outright, then we win it outright.

That's not happening. It hasn't stopped raining and they aren't draining that field by that time.

Next batch of storms around 70 miles to the SW. Assuming 35mph motion that'll put those in the area around 6:00pm.

Me either. Although probably not involving a team we swept, I think we may have been on the poop end of the didn't play as many games stick before.

How are they going to drain the field by the 4:30 supposed start time? And they are going to **** over our game at 5 pm just to put on a delayed 3 hour game. Rediculous.

Those to the SW are going due north at the moment. The storms over College Station seem to be raining themselves out. I'm thinking now they'll get it in, but probably not with a 4:20 start, since that's now.

I certainly hope not, but both games really are of equal importance to the conference. They'll have to put one of them on SECN+ I would think. Or one of the regular ESPN channels (which are probably tied up with field hockey or something).

NCAA softball regional play, so that's not happening. I bet we are bumped to online. Sux. If there was gonna be weather issues, why couldn't they just rain out!!!

But maybe it'll be some sort of blessing in disguise since our guys won't know exactly what's up.

And on cue...stupid Bear picked off at 1B by the catcher snap throw.
