And he was still throwing 93 to 95 miles per hour in the 9th.

Hudson has become what we thought he could be. His ceiling is so high.

I was at the game. Hudson was throwing the new cut curve ball he has developed. He is definitely found a groove

Finally. Just wish we could start getting more out of guys on the hill before their JR season. But that's an entirely different discussion.

Huddy is just filthy. That cutter has done wonders for him. He's going to move through the minor leagues in a big hurry. Especially if they give him a 4th pitch like a change to use and he can make it effective.

I want people to recognize this feat. That is godammed undeniable talent. This just doesn't happen all the time.

If we play our cards right he'll be funding facilities for us in 12 years with his petty cash.

Ya know, seeing what the pitching staff is doing with this new batch of pitchers, and how well the freshmen especially have played, you may start to see that.

he was 92 mph in the 9th. I was watching him and listening to Ellis on my headphones. I thought Ellis was going to do head dive into the stands after the last pitch

I hate I missed the game tonight. He's amazing. I was walking the floor watching him pitch I was some pumped. Ready to see Sexton tomorrow!

On a side note. Don't take Arkansas as sweep. It's baseball. Anything can happen.

We are filthy good. Wes Johnson has done wonders for this staff.

Wes Johnson's next task:

Ethan Small needs to be ready to be an impact starter in 2017. He has the stuff. It is similar to Dakota's. Wes needs to calm down his jerky delivery, but if this kid improves his command in the CCL this summer, we have another stud on our hands.

I'm certainly hoping so. I've got a lot of faith in Wes Johnson. Hell, the improvement of Daniel Brown just during the course of this season should get Wes a medal. So a full fall to work with all the young guys? Yes, I'm hopeful indeed.

Yes, its a little frustrating how many guys under Cohen that you almost feel like they were "one and done" players but they were actually in the program 3 years. Seems like we get one great year in their JR season while they were almost totally MIA during their FR and SO seasons.

Some kids just take longer to come around mentally and learn that you cant take pitches off in the SEC. Think about what he did to hitters in highschool, that same mentality carried over to SEC ball will get your brain beat in no matter how good your stuff is. He has certainly figured "it" out.

Padgett too. Johnson has tons to work with. If he can't find us two more decent starters (in addition to Pilkington) by next year, God help him.
