It doesn't look too daunting. Ga Tech can't pitch and I think we have So. Miss number if they get out of their regional.

Pretty incredible considering where we were at this point a year ago.


In terms of the national seed picture, there continues to be some real stability amongst the top six in the pecking order. Florida, Miami, Texas A&M and Louisville appear to be national seed locks, while Mississippi State also is pretty much a lock.

That would be good regional and super match ups for us.

If it happens, my question is who steps up to be the FSU killer in their regional - Kennesaw or South Alabama? You know it will happen.

I don't think our guys are scared of anyone at the moment...they might even enjoy playing A&M again for revenge. We have played series with five teams far better than anyone who'd be in our regional and won all but one.

That would be a GREAT draw.

I hope southern gets to host, because I think we are a lot better than them... And that is almost certainly who we'd be paired with.

Agree and the way they pitch it, I would be a little worried about that Super in Starkville. We seem to play better in crackerjack parks where we can drop bombs.

Anybody know anything about GT. other than a pretty good record I don't know much about them.

They are currently 34-18. They started the season 12-0, 22-18 since. Currently have a losing ACC record at 12-14. They aren't necessarily a scary club, but certainly capable of beating you. I love our projected regional and potential super matchup. Can't ask for anything potentially more favorable to us than that scenario.

The Baseball America prediction for the Starkville Regional is odd - they would send Alabama State to Lubbock and Princeton to Starkvegas. Georgia Tech and SELA are the other two.
