He should fit right in up there. I wonder what kind of signing bonus he got?

Guy failed 2 drug tests in just his freshman year at Syracuse. Yeah, Oxford is the place to clean up your drug habit. http://www.scout.com/college/syracuse/story/1669747-qaadir-sheppard-transferring-to-ole-miss

No test for Ole Spice

I honestly wish we'd take more at risk transfers. We need to add talent desperately and you don't find that at a monestary.

I'm not sure we are all in to win through legal means. Being more moral than the other team doesn't help you win games.

Unbelievable. A druggy headed to UNM.

What's the over under for Rebels next year ending their careers in jail or psych ICU? I know the NDrugdashians are gone, so there may be a drop off.

Really Clark?

To play Devils advocate, you want to take a transfer risk on a guy that failed multiple drug tests and was a 2 star recruit and didn't start at Syracuse. He is a more talented type of player we should go after? The Bama OL, I can see that type but not this kind of player. I don't think he cracks our 2 deep in 2017. He could develop but we can get developmental guys without baggage and probably a higher character.

Maybe we're just seeing the wave of the future. Maybe this is the best they can do now.

Fair enough if he isn't a good player, but that should be the narrative. "Ole Miss accepts transfer from crappy 2 star that didn't start for crappy Syracuse"

I give to shits about him failing a drug test. We need to add talent because our coach's jobs are to win. We aren't Bama or LSU and thus we may need to take more risks.

Yeah, Syracuse was 10th in the acc in sacks and 12th in rush defense. This kid was a backup that played in 9 games and registered 1 tackle

My guess is this kid has a connection to a '17 or '18 recruit

You would think with all that is going on those dumb asses would not want any type of bad press and this is bad press. I guess they figure they are going to lose a lot of scholarships and this is a way to load up before it happens.

To hell with taking risk like this. We have enough on our plate to deal with. You dam sure don't want to bring in the proven ones. They are turning into the auburn of Alabama.

I would venture to say that they are in a league of their own...

This is a head-scratcher for sure. Msstate7's hypothesis must be the reason they took this guy. (Unless I missed something.)

He has to sit out the 16' season and will be eligible for the 17' season. I'd bet my house he never makes it because it's been proven down there that the one's with a criminal background tend to repeat that behavior. See: Stringfellow.
