I think they have a slim chance but it's probably going to involve them winning the Texas A&M series. It's odd to say, but at this point A&M probably should be more worried about Ole Miss than us.

UM has a good team and will be a deserving host, but I don't see how anyone who has watched baseball this year could possibly say that they are better than us. The only reason they are above us in RPI is that they (to their credit) win just about every game they are "supposed to win," and we dropped a few games pre conference that we clearly should have won.

We play much better against elite competition. Our lineup and rotation are clearly better than theirs- and while UM's pen has been good and consistent, ours has been coming on STRONG with the emergence of Humphreys, Brown, Rigby, and Smith. We are probably 4-0 against them this year if we had our current rotation settled when we played them.

Just to add a little salt to their wound, Holder, the guy that no-hit them for the majority of the game today, wasn't he a utility position player last year? I believe that's what was said during the broadcast

Our defense let us down in that third game as much or more than our pitching did. Rigby got a double ball that went right through Collin's legs and allowed two runs to score.
