I like the principle of hitting Robson 5th. The lineup set up as it is now, we basically have another lead off hitter in the middle of the order to set up Rooker and hump.

Eventually I'd like to see Robson 1 and Mangum 2, but this is fine for now while Robson gets acclimated.

I mentioned something to a friend after the Thursday night game. We don't seem to get the runs proportionate to the hits we get. 19 hits on Thursday produced 8 runs. So far today, 6 hits and 1 run. I haven't gone back and looked over the season, but I know of several instances where this has gotten my attention.

Part of this is right. The umpire did the right thing to let the push in the leg go after the runner came in high on the knee with spikes.

I must have saw it incorrectly too then. I will try look back at replay but I thought contact was just above the ankle with spikes not up. Plus you know as a catcher you are getting contact there. The rules make it that way because you cannot run over the catcher anymore. Only choice is to slide and there is going to be some spike contact, you just don't go spikes up.

What might be dangerous for State is a late RPI fade -- based on nothing more than the teams we face being mediocre -- combined with the selection committee looking for an excuse to avoid picking 4 SEC National Seeds.
