With all the new developments I think forecasts need to be revised. At one time I had hoped they'd top out at USC level. Now I think that's a good starting point.

They will be second most sanctioned university next to SMU.

It's going to be bad!

Still say, there is an outside chance of an SMU sentence, if this stalling stuff keeps happening

The worst part for them be laughingstock status for the next 15 years. They can rationalize everything else.

If the Tunsil blowup Thursday led to the NCAA catching them in a lie then it may get ugly. Who knows.

Smart money is on USC-level stuff.

You know, we tend to forget things over time, but Ole Miss was hammered by the NCAA in the mid 90s too. A lot worse than what we got when Jackie left.

It's a culture of non compliance.

If we play our cards right, this will help our program over the next several years. Hope we seize the opportunity.

What about lack of institutional control? If this isn't LOIC, then I don't know what is.

1. Multiple sports
2. Multiple staffs
3. Multiple types of issues (recruiting, academic, benefits to players enrolled)
4. Multiple types of people (coaches, agents, boosters)

There is definitely a culture of noncompliance.

I was pretty much in agreement with c34's prediction before all the stuff started going down on Thursday... Now, I have no clue.

After the s--t show on national TV Thursday night all bets are off. There are no words in the English language to adequately describe what we witnessed. In front of God and the world an Ole Miss player admitted he was requesting cash from a COACH and that coach complained that he was asking for more than the previously agreed to amount. Just damn. If that had been an MSU player I would have crawled under a rock and not emerged for years. I keep wondering if the sanctions will come all at once or in two parts. However it is done, it will be bad and cripple them for a long time.
P.S. Thank you Brackey and I mean it.

I'm going with:

36 Scholarships over 3 years
2 Year Bowl Ban

Less visits, all that other stuff.

I don't think they would do more than 10 schollys per year. I would say 3/30 or even better, 4/40. I think USC got 3/30. Bowl bans are nice, but I want a Freeze show clause and LOIC. Those are the biggies.

And I think there will be show causes but not for freeze. I think it's about a 60 percent chance both freeze and BDork survive and keep their jobs.

Michael Adams, a former University of Georgia President - now at Pepperdine, is on the NCAA Infractions Committee. There was a lot of chatter when Tunsil chose the Bears that Adams was not a happy camper. Shortly afterwards he retired from UGA and joined the Infractions Committee. He came out of retirement when the opportunity to live in Malibu and serve as Pepperdine President was offered. He's still on the infractions committee and as recently as February was in a video interview discussing the need for the NCAA to be very focused on the academic integrity of college sports.

Adams could be a real wildcard in whatever sanctions come down.

Dang. I very clearly remember Adams going to work for the NCAA shortly after Tunsil flipped and he was PISSED. Knew he went to Pepperdine, but had no idea he was on the infractions committee. LOL. This is great.

I say make them suspend play for 5 years. All players currently on roster are to be considered declared professionals. All players in the current signing class lose a year of eligibility and have to sit a minimum of 9 games the following year. Appeals will be taken on a case by case basis. Full financial reports, job histories, and whatever else the NCAA request has to be squeaky clean to reduce it to only a year penalty.

After the 5 years, they can have 60 scholarships back. 5 more each year until the get back to 85. After they get to 85 in year 10, they have 5 more years of probation until they are clear.

Also, they forfeit their ESPN dollars to a Beaver sanctuary in need selected by Saban.

Now a serious one....
24 scholarships over 4 years. Show cause for the AD and CHF. 2-3 year bowl ban and maybe a 1 year suspension on TV dollars.
A big reduction possibly on OV and In home.
Freeze has to issue an apology to every congregation he has visited in person.

Freeze stays.
2 other coaches fired.

2 year bowl ban.

I'll randomly guess 50 over five years with a bowl ban and wins from 2011-2015 vacated. I think Freeze gets a show cause along with others. I think they get hit with LOIC too.

I think that the way to really hit them is with a monetary fine after the traditional sanctions, scholarships, post season bans, etc. If the NCAA hits them with a large fine this will effectively shutdown the network for a time by emptying the coffers, or at least until Arch calls dickie and crew.

With all the new developments I think forecasts need to be revised. At one time I had hoped they'd top out at USC level. Now I think that's a good starting point.

All rebel hostesses must be a minimum of 220 lbs and a maximum of 5' 2" tall.
All visits must be chaperoned by hostess father who must have consumed a 12 pack of Milwaukee's best before beginning tour.
All visits must include a mandatory viewing a documentary of the day Meridith was escorted on campus in the 60's.
Recruits must be accompanied by his parents.
Crunchy Mike you tube video on a constant roll on video board at VH from Friday to Monday morning on each weekend from Thanksgiving to signing day.
Only music at the library allowed on recruiting weekends is the greatest hits of captain and tenniel.
Grove spots Awarded based on hours of community service in hattiesburg, mississippi.
Entrance to swazyee field depending upon passing basic baseball rules quiz.

Reason2succeed

No more Oxford shirts in Oxford
Boat shoes and bow ties are now illegal contraband
State fans are allowed to cut fire wood in the Grove
The remainder of the trees in the Grove will be sold to a paper mill
People caught with their hands on their head signaling "fins up" will have said hand immediately amputated
All frat houses will be turned in to section 8 govt assisted housing
All sorority houses will become whore houses (okay maybe they already did this)

And never let up. I know that there was a green explorer that bought a recruit in '96 and was eventually handed down to mama. Have not seen it in a few years. It had a personalized tag that read "eleven".

Even if it was for a year only, the NCAA should ban them from off-campus recruiting. No school visits, no "bumps", no party weekend at the Library. Nothing. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Killing their "Recruiting Championship" mentality is a must.
