View Full Version : When coaches pay players, it has to be with knowledge of the higher ups.

If the Instagram screen shots and Tunsil's admission are legit, Ole Miss is fried.

Freeze and Bjork will on the face of it be guilty of serious willful NCAA violations

Even if Tunsil (and others... no way is he the only recipient) were paid from a slush fund, the amounts still had to be accounted for, still had to be a part of secret budget.

Tunsil told us what we already knew. Whatever the penalty, they will be branded as an outlaw program, as many had suspected, and their program will be tainted for a decade or more.

Also looking at the coach mentioning an exact amount. Makes you wonder if the coach is in charge of the fund and has to track how much is coming out of it.

From John Millers bio...

behind-the-scenes work has supported the team?s improvement on the field, which has resulted in four straight bowl appearances, including back-to-back New Year?s Six bowls.

How much truth is in that statement??

Cash payments traced back to coaches?? Shit just got real fellas. That stuff don't happen without the stamp of approval from everyone from the head coach to the AD. Heads are going to roll. Instead of wondering who will get fired, it's probably time to wonder who, if anyone, will keep their job.

If the NCAA deems that payments to players were coming from coaches on the staff, any coaches, then Hugh Freeze is toast. There is no plausible deniability for a HC when his own staff members are directly funneling money to players.

Correct, if it is proven Miller and Barney were funneling money, the whole staff is gone.

Wasn't the rumor that Freeze was HEAVILY involved in managing the Network?

"We're not going to run away from anything," Bjork says. "I know what we stand for, what we do and the integrity in this room."

Freeze has grown weary of the entire narrative and adds, "It's gotten to the point now that you hear it every time we sign somebody, but as you see, it's not like we're getting everybody. We'll keep doing things the right way, and we're not going away."
