John was stating the facts about Lightfoot,Franklin and white being hired by om and was telling Paul that om has hired Slive and was asking Paul if that was a conflict of interest.
Paul wanted none of it , at first Paul was talking over John but John recovered nicely.

Dawgbreeze is the man. He basically had so much knowledge of the situation that Paul finally said, "well, you always hate it when someone calls in that is obviously well plugged in and knows more about a situation than you, so you can't really answer his question".
