Ump said our runner on first left the base before the ball left her hand. So she was called and Bratton was tossed. He's goes full 5 yard sprit belly to belly with the umpire and let's him have it. The other umps run over and get in between while Bratton as red as a firecracker let's them have it. The announcers even said that's not a call you make at that point in time and backed Bratton for having his players backs

10th

Extra inning game with all on the line. That's why it was BS. It was close enough, if she was early at all that you don't call the crap with the game on the line like that. She wasn't even trying to steal and about fell down trying to stay on the bag.

That was amazing and right. You don't make that call especially when it would have had no bearing on the game. Even if she had left early (she didn't), it was a taken pitch. Ridiculous.

Typical softball umpiring.

As bad as baseball umps are at the collegiate level softball is worse because they still suck AND they have a chip on their shoulder 99% of the time. When you put those two things together you get calls like that.
